Hello from the Gulf of Hisarönü route! Before diving into where to eat, I wanted to briefly share something about the area… This route is famous for its natural beauty, crystal-clear sea, and delicious cuisine. It’s like a natural wonder. You can experience a perfect color transition from green to blue. Its bays invite you to tranquility and peace, offering an unforgettable holiday experience.

One of my favorite bays is Selimiye, which is like a postcard village. Its nature, sea, local flavors… In the evenings, you can watch the most beautiful colors of the sunset here. Also, you shouldn’t end your holiday here without tasting the local dishes prepared with fresh seafood at Selimiye’s restaurants. Selimiye is an ideal destination for those looking for a holiday close to nature and tranquility.

Now, let’s talk about my second favorite, Datça, which attracts nature lovers with its turquoise sea and pristine bays. One of the most enjoyable things to do in Datça is to take a walk along the coast in the evening after spending a day surrounded by natural beauty.

You can spend time in a tranquil and peaceful environment surrounded by unique natural beauty. While enjoying the sea, you can also have an unforgettable experience trying local flavors. You can immortalize this unique experience by sharing it with your loved ones. While discovering these unique beauties, you can embark on new and exciting adventures with your friends.

Hisarönü Bay is known not only for its natural beauty but also for the region’s rich and diverse cuisine. The local flavors you can taste at local restaurants will make your holiday unforgettable. If you want to explore different cultures and taste flavors with your group of friends, you are in the right place.

Let’s talk about where you can eat around here. In the past, only quiet restaurants were recommended in these areas, but now the situation has changed a bit. Especially after Covid, there has been a migration from big cities to the region, so the age group here has become a bit younger and investments have increased inversely. Especially in the Datça region, new generation cafes, restaurants with new style foods, and places where you can have fun in the evening have started to open.

For the last 5 years, this region, which has hosted many guests, has started to embrace innovations more and more every day. Whether you love nature, entertainment, luxury, or casual places, you can see this place as a common location for all of them.

Here are my favorite restaurants in this area:

  • Sardunya Restaurant / Selimye
  • Bozburun Yacht Club / Bozburun
  • Mayan Datça / Datça
  • Bizim Ev Datça / Datça
  • Hollandalı Ahmet’in Yeri / Kumlubük

Hello from the Lycian Way, one of the world’s top 10 longest routes. Stretching 540 km, this trail is a journey through history, with numerous ancient cities along the way. Situated between Fethiye and Antalya, it’s a must-visit for adventurers.

Pinara Ancient City

This ancient city takes its name from the Lycian word “Pinara,” which means round. Despite being heavily damaged by earthquakes, you can still see its worth-visiting structures like baths and a theater. According to mythology, it was one of the six important Lycian cities with three votes in the period. Also, make sure your phone is fully charged when visiting this ancient city, as there are plenty of beautiful sights to experience.

Sidyma Ancient City

At the entrance of the city, you’ll be greeted by high monumental tombs and magnificently decorated columns. Despite being a settlement area nearby, nature has taken over this city. I would like to emphasize that you will encounter temples dedicated to Lycian gods, large rock tombs, and walls in this city.

Xanthos (Ksantos) Ancient City

Since Xanthos has witnessed many wars throughout history, there are not many structures left today. Most of the artifacts from here are exhibited in the British Museum. This ancient city awaits you with a few remaining sarcophagi, a theater, and a church.

Pydnai Ancient City

Located west of the world-famous Patara Beach, this city contains a small piece of wall that has survived to this day. The city is situated on a small hill.

Letoon Ancient City

This city, founded in honor of Leto, who was impregnated by Zeus according to mythology, is located in the center. It has three temples. The theater from the Hellenistic Period inside is one of the rare structures that have survived to this day.

Antiphellos Ancient City

Since Kaş is built on top of this ancient city, there are not many structures that have survived to this day. One of the most important structures in this ancient city is a sarcophagus made of a single block. You can also see the ancient theater here.

Phellos Ancient City

This city is considered a defensive city, and the waters surrounding its acropolis are among the structures that must be seen.

Apolonia Ancient City

The city, built on the Kekova road, is located on a rock formation resembling the letter L. There is a Byzantine church in some of the surviving walls. Besides, one of the most interesting and must-see structures is a tomb monument with 6 prism-shaped bodies, a bathhouse, and a theater.

Aperial Ancient City

The ruins of this city are located at the tip of a hill descending towards the sea. And you can experience these ruins on a holiday by sea. There are silver coins written in the Lycian language in this city. Although the city’s quay is submerged, seeing these structures from the sea will enchant you.

Simena Ancient City

Located in Kaleköy between Kaş and Finike. Its castle is still standing today. There are also rock tombs submerged underwater here. Access to this place is only possible by sea. Due to earthquakes, half of this city is underwater, and the other half is above water.

Olympos Ancient City

The name Olympos means high mountain in Anatolian languages. Thanks to the Akçay river that passes through the middle of this ancient city, it divides the city in two and turns it into a port city. This city is very popular among many vacationers. Our favorite part, especially, is seeing the perfect transition from green to blue.

In short, we can say that the Lycian Way is a magnificent harmony of nature and history. On this route where you will experience a flawless transition from green to blue, historical structures await you. If you prefer the sea route like us, please click here.

Turkey is a city full of history, culture, and delicious food. One of the must-try dishes in Turkey is Turkish kebab. Kebab has been an essential part of Turkish cuisine for years and has recently gained prominence in the world of gastronomy.

Turkish kebab is a result of the nomadic lifestyle of the Turks in Central Asia. Due to the necessity of preserving and cooking meat, Turks had to experiment with different methods, leading to the tradition of cooking meat on skewers.
This tradition spread to Anatolia with the migration of the Turks. Kebab was particularly popular in the Ottoman Empire’s palace kitchens during the Ottoman period. Over the years, this dish has been diversified and has become a representative of Turkish cuisine.
When you visit Turkey, you must try these 5 types of kebabs that we have listed for you. Of course, these lists are subjective, as they are based on people’s tastes and preferences. Being objective in gastronomy is almost impossible. We have ranked our top five kebabs according to our taste.

1- Çağ Kebabı:

Çağ kebabı, one of Turkey’s most successful traditional dishes, is a meal specific to the Erzurum, Kars, and Artvin regions. The layering of different parts of lamb, simple yet effective marination, and cooking over wood fire add great value to Çağ Kebabı.

2- İskender Kebabı:

İskender kebabı is one of the most classic and popular dishes of Turkish cuisine. We can say that İskender kebab is the most beautiful form of meat doner. It is a dish specific to Bursa. Traditional minced meat doner, a few pieces of meat, tomato-based special sauce, yogurt, and the soft pita bread at the bottom of the plate.

3- Ali Nazik Kebabı:

We can say that Turkish cuisine and Gaziantep are an inseparable duo. Gaziantep is one of the strongest centers of Turkish gastronomy. I can even explain it to you like this, you go and come back with a minimum of 3 kilos… As for Ali Nazik kebab, it is made with lamb meat and sauce prepared with roasted eggplant, yogurt, garlic, and salt. Although it is very laborious to make, it is a very popular dish loved by everyone in Turkey.

4- Beyti Kebabı:

Here we are with another indispensable dish of Turkish cuisine. Beyti kebab has an interesting recent history. Its name comes from Beyti Güler, the owner of the popular Beyti restaurant in Istanbul. In 1961, inspired by the meat preparation method of Swedish butcher Möller during his visit to Switzerland, Beyti Kebabı is made by grilling minced or lamb meat on a skewer, wrapping it in lavash, and finally serving it with domates sauce and yogurt.

5- Şiş Kebab:

It is our most famous and well-known kebab type. Although it is made in many locations in Turkey, the best is still made in Adana province. It is much easier to make than our other kebabs. All you need to do is to grill the diced meat on a metal or wooden skewer.

We recommend not leaving Turkey without trying our kebab, which is one of the most important symbols of Turkish cuisine. Since it is a dish found on the main menu of many restaurants in Turkey, trying these flavors is quite easy.

There are many different types of kebabs prepared with different methods and ingredients. Kebab not only satisfies your taste buds but also tells a story of centuries-old culinary tradition, reflecting the rich cultural tapestry of Turkey.

We hope we have been able to convey the importance of kebab for Turkish cuisine and its special place to you accurately.

Embark on unforgettable routes and savor the taste of Turkish cuisine prepared by our chefs during an unforgettable sea holiday awaits you.

Many of the islands in Greece are uniquely stunning and offer much for travelers to enjoy throughout the year. Divided by island groups and seas, each region presents conditions for a variety of styles. Whether you enjoy plenty of sailing opportunities or prefer calm waters and secludes bays, or areas where nightlife is at its best; there are itineraries which cater to a variety of pleasures.

The main regions to choose from include the Ionian islands in the Ionian sea; famed for the island of Corfu. Further into the Aegean, starting from Athens are the Argo-Saronic islands – otherwise known as the peloponnese coast.  Additional choice is the renown central Aegean sea, where the Cyclades islands include windy Mykonos and sensational Santorini.  For those wishing to feel closer to the Turkish coast, the Dodecanese islands are a favorite, famous for the islands if Rhodes, Symi and Kos. Lastly the Sporades islands – a beautiful region filled with unspoiled nature and white sandy beaches might just be the idyllic atmosphere you are seeking for your holidays.

All these islands possess plenty of historical ruins and archeaological sites to visit. The allure goes further with the plethora of beaches and bays – both quiet as well as bustling, entertaining and adventureous. Combined with an array of cultures and cuisines, influenced from past civilizations – a Greek Island yacht charter vacation allows for much to discover and enjoy.

For travelers interested in exploring the Ionian islands of Greece and not particular about experiencing strong winds during high season, a one week itinerary could include the islands of Corfu, Paxos, Lefkada, Kefalonia, Ithaki, and Parga. However you don’t have to limit your Eastern Mediterranean yacht charter holiday with a week as there are many more desirable islands which can be included for a two week itinerary.

If you’ve set your minds on seeing those famous Santorini sunsets, then a one week itinerary into the Cyclades would be your ideal route to plan. The islands to be a part of this week long journey at sea could be Paros, Kameras, Folegandros, Santorini and Amorgos. Again, this route can be extended to offer two full weeks of sailing enjoyment.

Rhodes Greece offers something special for everyone. Quiet and secluded beaches, exciting nightlife, plenty of shopping opportunities, and plenty of little islands just of the coast. Just the island itself could possibly create a whole weeks’ itinerary. But of course, there are many more magnificent islands in the Dodecanese to visit. Should you wish to have a change in culture, the Turkish coastline is a mere few hours away! Other islands that could peak your traveling interests during a one week trip might be to visit colorful Symi – a true little treasure of paradise. Then there is Kalymnos, Nisiros, Tilos, and Halki.

After the Ionians, Cyclades and Dodecanese, we are left with two more groups; The Sporades and the Argo-Saronic islands. These regions are easily accessibly with your private Greece blue cruise from Athens.

Itinerary options are many. Discussing your interests with your charter agent may prove to create the route, plan and organization for a very memorable and exciting holiday in the unforgettable ancient islands of Greece.

How to Get Transfer from Milas and Dalaman Airports to Ports https://yachtsngulets.com/how-to-get-transfer-from-milas-and-dalaman-airports-to-ports/ Mon, 25 Dec 2023 13:56:08 +0000 https://yachtsngulets.com/?p=37521 The post How to Get Transfer from Milas and Dalaman Airports to Ports appeared first on Yachtsngulets.

]]>

Summer days, particularly Saturdays, are quite busy in the Aegean ports of Bodrum, Marmaris, Göcek, and Fethiye. The reason for this is that tourist visiting Turkey, particularly from overseas, fly from Istanbul to Bodrum Milas and Dalaman airports. Tourists arriving at Milas and Dalaman airports travel to nearby districts like as Bodrum, Marmaris, Göcek, and Fethiye for boat or hotel vacations.

How to Provide Airport Transfers During Blue Voyage Vacations

The first and last days of the trip are the busiest since, after your airport transfer vehicles are scheduled, they will transport you to the port on the first day. If you are landing at Milas airport, the transfer vehicle will take you to the boat at the central port, which is approximately a 40-minute drive from the airport. This duration may be longer on days when traffic is heavy.

There are three nearest ports to Dalaman airport if you are flying in from Istanbul. The port of Gocek is only 20 minutes away, the port of Fethiye is 40 minutes away, and the port of Marmaris is 60 minutes away.
We prepare transfers not just for Saturday, the first and last days of the tour, but we can also arrange an extra transfer vehicle for guests who join the tour on weekdays.

How Does This Happen?

You may have to join your charter gulet Turkey trips late due to your personal work, this is a normal situation. You may have to be late for your blue cruise owing to personal responsibilities; this is a common occurrence. In such circumstances, we call your boat captain, and on the day you join the trip, we make certain that your transfer vehicle drives to the harbor where your boat is docked. If there is no road near the boat’s location, we will provide you with a transfer vehicle to the closest point to the captain’s meeting place. We have no transportation issues because we work together with reputable transfer providers in the industry.

We apply the same procedures again on the last day of your Turkey blue cruise holiday. Since we receive your flight information before your tour, we direct your transfer vehicles to the port you will depart from and ensure that you meet with the transfer vehicle. The boat crew helps you in this regard in the port area, and you get on the vehicle safely and reach the airport.

]]>

We will inform you about things you may not have heard before on the 6 most important topics you need to know in Turkey. Do not forget to share this content when you’ve finished reading it!

Let’s start our article with greetings first. When people first meet in Turkey, they say Hello means; “Merhaba” or “Selam” or “Selamunaleykum” to each other. These are common phrases in society.

Our second topic is about the world-famous Turkish breakfast, where you will be amazed among the different organic local delicacies. Breakfast, as you may know, is one of the most important meal periods of the day. The almost all family prefers the world-famous Turkish breakfast, especially on Saturdays and Sundays. To prepare and consume the Turkish breakfast, which is based on organic diversity, considerable time is required. Because those who work during the week may not be able to have this delicious Turkish breakfast at a convenient moment.

Alternatives include “simit-çay” (a oval pastry made from baked dough and Turkish tea), “börek – tea” (a type of pastry and Turkish tea), and “Tost-çay” (a toast sandwich and Turkish tea). They are simple and less expensive solutions for a quick breakfast.

As you can see, tea is frequently accessible for every cuisine. Tea is a hot drink that Turkish society cannot live without. Almost everywhere, including meetings, offices, other types of workplaces, residences, and numerous other places. It is possibly one of everyone’s favorite tastes. While this is a common choice, tea may be served in a variety of ways. Tea can be served either without or with sugar.

White sugar is one of the most popular, however honey can also be used in place of sugar. Those who like to drink it simple might occasionally add a slice of lemon to the tea. Furthermore, in the kıtlama tea drinking model, known as “kıtlama tea” and popular in Eastern and Southeastern Anatolia, white sugar is first placed in the mouth before drinking plain tea. Sugar mixes in tea and is consumed.

Instead of white bread, we now have a variety of breads on our tables. However, “bazlama” and “yufka” are the most popular. Instead of bread, bazlama and pita dough are preferred.

We’d also want to inform you about a few topic that almost stop life in Turkey. Every year on November 10th, at 9.05 am., a minute of silence takes place in honor of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, the founder of the Republic of Turkey. During this one-minute duration, life in Turkey almost came to stop. Many people walking along the street and automobiles on the road may come to a stop if they hear sirens, and those inside may come out to show their respects. People in their homes, businesses, and on the street usually respect a moment of quiet when they hear sirens.

Furthermore, derby matches between Istanbul’s two most popular football clubs, Fenerbahçe and Galatasaray, often block traffic. All attention will be on that night’s derby between Fenerbahçe and Galatasaray.

We’ve chosen and explained a few major topics you might not have heard of before. We hope you enjoyed the article and would like you to share it!
